What is the US Open of Surfing?

The historic US Open of Surfing is the biggest surf contest in the world. Hosted yearly in Huntington Beach since 1959, this event attracts the top athletes in the world along with hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over.

The Open is comprised of two different competitive divisions: the second stop of the WSL Longboard Tour and the fourth stop of the WSL Challenger Series. The combination of both divisions, along with the fans they bring in, makes it the biggest competition in the world!

Along with the intense action on the waves, the US Open will also be hosting live music on the WSL Beach Bar stage, and have plenty of food, drink, prizes and product demos brought to you by your favorite action sports and outdoor gear brands!

Unfortunately, there is no official skateboarding contest congruent with this year’s Open, but that doesn’t mean the local park won’t also be full of amazing skaters to go and watch!
