Nofie was inspired by a vacation that Brian and Kimberly took to Carlsbad, California in 2008 where they
rented
their very first short term vacation property with their 5 little boys.
Since that trip, Brian and Kimberly have traveled quite a bit for work and pleasure. Kimberly would
spend hours
trying to find the perfect vacation rental at the right price and was incredibly frustrated with the
search
process.
In 2014 they converted their second home to a vacation rental using traditional third-party booking
methods.
Frustrated with fees and lack of communication with guests, Kimberly began offering a more personal
option for
guests through her own website after learning about the Direct Booking Movement.
Due to the costs and challenges of driving traffic to her direct booking site, and hearing from many
other hosts
that were having the same frustrations, Kimberly decided it was time for a better solution for both
hosts and
guests. With over 25 years of experience in Real Estate and Software Development, Kimberly and Brian
created Nofie
to level the playing field, allowing guests and hosts to connect on whichever platform they choose.
